Fundamentals of Putting It has often been said that putting is the single most important part of the game (since it accounts for the highest percentage of strokes made). At the same time it is virtually always the least practiced. One of the reasons for this apparent discrepancy is the inherent difficulty in practicing putting in a productive way.
